The 2010 Season Is Here!

The 2010 season is about to begin! The preseason starts this Sunday, with the regular season beginning Thursday, September 9. Get pumped! Get excited! Get drunk! Or something. Whatever.

The rules for this season's King of the Hill pool are exactly the same as last year. They're outlined briefly (kind of) below, to give a little refresher. You can also check out the full rules to get a little bit more in-depth.

Overview
This is a dual-pool competition.

Pool A is a straight-up King of the Hill pool. Pick one team to win each week (you can pick each team only once). If that team wins, you keep going; if they lose or tie, you're out. But you're only out of that part of the pool, because...

Pool B is record-based and continues throughout the season whether you pick a losing team or not. Whichever team you pick for Pool A is also the team you have for Pool B. If that team wins, you get a win. If that team loses or ties, you get a loss. At the end of the regular season, the person with the best record wins. If there is a tie at the end of the regular season, the people who are tied move on to the playoffs, where it becomes win or go home.

The entry is $30. You can enter as many times as you want (before the season starts, obviously), but it's $30 for each one. The pot will be split: two-thirds to the winner of Pool A; one-third to the winner of Pool B. Note: The winner of Pool A can also win Pool B.
